A Workshop with Gecko

Sunday 20th January 2019, 3-6pm at Sadler’s Wells

This workshop will give participants the chance to experience Gecko’s unique style of movement and physical theatre, as well as an opportunity to gain an insight into the creative processes Gecko’s devising performers go through when creating a show. The session will include preparation exercises and tasks that focus on creating movement for performance. Gecko uses breath to explore emotions and their workshops are always highly physical and dynamic.

Led by one of Gecko’s leading devising performers: Chris Evans. Chris has worked on the creation processes and performed in; The Wedding, Missing & Institute, as well as being the lead movement director for Gecko’s associate show The Dreamer.

Participants should wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing suitable for a physical workshop. No shoes, jewellery or trainers. Participants should also bring plenty of water with them.
