Sunday 29th May 2022, 1.30-4.30pm at Sadler’s Wells
To join this workshop it is recommended that you have attended one of our Intro to Mocap workshops.
Jessica & Sarah are very excited to come together to share this workshop with you, sharing their expertise within the Performance Capture industry from their shared and varied perspectives. We will kick off with Sarah leading you through a warm up, a journey of movement exploration, physical embodiment, breath and more … this will then lead into an insightful & playful mock casting session led by Jessica, who will direct and guide you supportively. Prior to the workshop you will be sent character briefs and a potential short script, to become familiar with, to work on within the session. We will then open the floor to Q&A with both Jessica & Sarah, so do have your casting & mocap questions at the ready. Be ready to be inspired, motivated and most of all to have fun!
Please note: Character briefs and scripts will be sent out and allocated to individuals around a week or two prior to the workshop, so you will have plenty of time to familiarise yourselves with these. In some cases, duologues may be offered. It would be great if you could learn if possible, so as to enable you to have the physical & creative freedom to explore & play.
Please wear comfortable clothes to move in, ideally not too baggy or loose, so as we can see the articulations of the body and the physical & characterful performance choices you are making.
Early bird booking fee if booked and paid for by 30th April 2022 £55. From 1st May 2022: £65. Students & Spotlight members will receive a 10% discount with proof of ID/Spotlight link. MoCap Troupe members will receive a 15% discount.
